h
Geolo is/Soils Input for Draft EIR
"Spar.os Park" 4
Stockton , California 2P2,'386/61-1
f
Project Descri tion
i
Details of proposed site development are presented elsewhere in
the -EIR. This description summarizes proposed site improvements and ;
development pertinent to geologic/soils eva;.uation. '
Site improvements are expected to include diversion of Pixley
Slough to Bear Creek through a new channel on the east property line ,
backfill of much of Pixley Slough , excavation of three real estate
lakes and a marina basin, installation of utilities and road con-
struction. Two of th'e lakes are to be west of I-5 and one east ; the
marina is indicated to be constructed on the north side of existing
Pixley Slough levee from the southwest corner of the property to
about 1000-ft east.
Some modification and improvement of levees along Pixley Slough
(west of Interstate 5) , Bear Creek (east of Interstate 5) and the
Pixley . Slough diversion channel is anticipated. "Certification" of
levee protection for a 100-year flood may require modification of
existing levees and/or construction of new levees--on-site and/or
elsewhere on Bishop Tract. This study is limited to a brief evaluation
of the condition and feasibility of improvement for on-site levees
i
and does not include a detailed evaluation of existing levees , work
required for "certification" or design of improvements .
1
