The second repair was installed on 12/29/2000 with 6 —100' leach lines and 6 — 36" Pits, which provide leach field
equivalent of 820 ft. (Note: 36" pits is equivalent to 70' leach field)
Based on today's usage, the calculated leach field equivalent is 2,320 ft. it appears the existing leach field is undersize to
meet the today's demand.
So, there are some options that you might consider:
1, contract with engineer to designed an option and submit the design to this office for approval.
2, contact with a contractor to install a 50% replacement leach field based on new standard, which will be leach field
equivalent of 1,160 ft. One of the options is to install 6 —43' leach lines and 18 —42" Pits (3 pits per line). (Note: 42" Pits
has 57' leach field equivalent per new standard.)
It appears either options require to eliminate some parking space for septic repair.
Thank You!
Steven Shih
Lead Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
