Peltier Rd., Acampo, CA
Mr. Ferreira:
RECEIVED
MAR 13 7018
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMITISEMACES
Per your request, Live Oak GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (Live Oak) completed a percolation test for
the subject Site. We understand that you plan to place a new modular home on the Site, which
is currently vacant. The Site is located at 7625 East Peltier Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1),
and is 9.40 acres in size.
A shallow percolation test was conducted on the Site. Percolation test procedures conformed
to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department policy.
Soil Boring
On March 4, 2018, Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose of
conducting a percolation test. The boring was four inches in diameter, 3.10 feet deep, and
was excavated by hand auger. The location of the boring is indicated on the attached Plate 2.
Soil Log
The soil in the boring was observed to be sandy silt to the full depth of the hole.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Hole
After the shallow boring was advanced by hand auger, the test hole was completed for the
percolation test. Approximately one inch of pea gravel was placed in the bottom of the open
soil boring, followed by a 2.0 -inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea
gravel was then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test hole approximately 24 hours prior to the percolation
testing. The hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom of the boring
for the presaturation. On the day of testing, the hole was found to be intact and dry.
Environmental Engineering Geology Geophysics
