Fire Prevention Plan - Prevention of Combustible Accumulations <br />1. Aisles, emergency exits, operation of fire doors and fire extinguishers shall be maintained <br />unobstructed for egress/access and movement of personnel at all times. <br />2. Shop fabricating practices shall control leakage and prevent spillage of liquids. <br />Provisions shall be made to promptly and safely dispose of leakage and spills. <br />3. All stored materials shall be kept at least three inches away from heat -radiating sources <br />such hot work activities, piping, ductwork, lighting fixtures, etc. <br />4. Containers with flammable liquids shall be stored with bungs and lids secured at all <br />times. Ordinary combustibles shall not be stored in the vicinity of flammable and <br />combustible liquids. <br />5. Roof areas, stairs and other remote areas shall be kept free of combustible storage. <br />6. Seasonal decorations must either be non-combustible or treated with a UL approved fire <br />retardant. No decorations shall be attached to sprinkler heads or otherwise obstruct fire <br />protection equipment or a means of egress. <br />7. Idle wood pallets stored inside shall be arranged in neat stacks to a maximum height of 4- <br />5 feet. <br />8. Smoking is permitted at designated areas only. <br />12 <br />
