Describe procedures for notifying onsite emergency response personnel and outs' AWUIN COUNTY <br /> (e.g.,Fire,Health,Police, State OES)needed during hazardous materials emerge OF EMERGENCY SERVICES <br /> This is an unmanned facility, <br /> Upon discovery or notification of a spill 800 KNOW EHS(800-566-9347)will be notified and proper <br /> containment procedures will be initiated to reduce the spread of the spill <br /> 5. Describe any security system or equipment that could impede site access by emergency <br /> responders. <br /> The facility is secured and locked at all times <br /> In addition all doors are kept locked and the la is activated when opened. <br /> 6. Describe procedures for notification and evacuation of visitors and employees during <br /> hazardous materials emergencies. Primary and alternate evacuation routes and assembly <br /> areas must be clearly identified on the site map. <br /> This is an unmanned facility, In the event personnel are present verbal notification will be made. <br /> Evacuate away from the facility to the prescribed Evacuation Area where a personnel count can he made. <br /> It may be necessary to notify the surrounding neighbors which shall be done verbally by going door-to- <br /> door. <br /> 7. Describe mitigation or clean-up procedures to be implemented by onsite personnel in the <br /> event of a release,threatened release,fire or explosion involving hazardous materials. <br /> Indicate if the business has an onsite emergency response team(ERT)and if so,describe <br /> how the ERT will interact with outside emergency response agencies if additional assistance <br /> is required. <br /> The person discovering the spill will contact the AT&T emerpmpy call center at 800-KNOW EHS (800- <br /> 566-9347)keep others out of the area by using available materials(Le.hazard tape stets chairs canes <br /> etc.).attempt to stop the flow of the leak wear applicable pgrsonnel pLotective equipment(PPEI(goggles <br /> with shields,chemical resistant gloves apron shoe covers etc) and use the appropriate contents of thg spill <br /> kit for the type of spill (i.e. acid/alkaline/or other Was Oe and absorbent materials (i.e. acid neutralizing <br /> absorber,alkaline neutralizing absorber, baking soda,dirt,or other absorbent material,as applicable)to <br /> absorb the leak-,All ignition sources will be extinguished.All shut-off valves and ventilation g.-ems will be <br /> shirt down where safe and appropriate Every attempt will be made to keep materials from entering floor or <br /> storm drains If a spill enters a floor or storm drain local utilities should be notified immediately.For small <br /> spills all Waste materials and used absorbents will be contained in a clearly marked clean container <br /> drum barrel sturdy bag) Ifthe used Waste and clean-up supplies are generated from a acid spill ora aline <br /> spill(for battery spills segregate acids from alkaline Waste),the container should be labeled"Used Clean-Up <br /> Splies and,Absorbent Materials from Lead Acid Spill'OR"Used Clean-UP Supplies and Absorbent <br /> Materials from Alkaline Bat cly apill",_as applicable(place a completed Hazardous Waste Label on the <br /> o tainer and-indicate if the Waste is Acid Batte Waste or Alkaline Batte este)-if the leak/release is <br /> be and the pprsons capabilities,they will call 9-1-1 immediately.
