BOZZANO ROAD <br />STOCKTON, CA 95215 RECEIVED <br />(209) 931-1760 <br />OVERVIEW MAY 15 2018 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />PERMITISERVICES <br />MAKING A TANK OF BRINE <br />The brine mixing person puts on his protective equipment: respirator, faceshield, <br />chemical resistant apron and chemical gloves. <br />Brine person fills tank to appropriate level with water and turns on the main tank <br />mixer. <br />He then puts the appropriate amount of sodium bisulfate into slurry tank. When <br />mixed, it is added into main tank. He then puts the appropriate amount of calcium <br />into the slurry tank. When mixed, it is added into main tank. He then puts the <br />appropriate amount of citric acid into slurry tank. When mixed it is added into <br />main tank. Main tank then continues mixing for 30 minutes. If any material is <br />spilled during the process, it is to be swept up with a broom and added into the <br />slurry tank for use in the main tank. <br />The brine is titrated to check PPM, SO2 and PH.
