Chrisman Rd., Tracy CA
Importance: High

ALCON,

Just a heads up on the Chlorine gas. There may or may not be some procedural changes to our storage practices/SOP
concerning the Chlorine gas. Just want everyone to think about alternatives to what we already have in place.

Also, if at all possible, please answer this: Are even supposed to receive the Chlorine gas? Do we receive the Chlorine
gas as a result of misdirected shipments? If so I recommend sorting this out first.

Please comment on this as soon as you have any ideas. Again as you can see below, it has been clearly defined by
County EHD that by removing the Chlorine gas from motive power source (e.g. tractor and trailer) we no longer meet
the definition of "storage incident to transportation."

Thank you,

Ed

Edward McNair
Environmental Protection Specialist
DLA Installation Support at San Joaquin
Phone: (209) 839-5539
Mobile: (209) 507-1432
DSN: 462-5539
Fax: (209) 839-4949

-----Original Message-----
From: McNair, Edward DLA CIV DISTRIBUTION SAN JOAQUIN, CA
Sent: Friday, December 18, 2015 7:47 AM
To: Raymond von Flue [EH]
Cc: Thornton, Chris J DLA CIV INSTALLATION SUPPORT; Kasey Foley [EH]; Linda Turkatte [EH];
lawrence.kathryn@epa.gov; Angie Proboszcz (PROBOSZCZ.ANGIE@EPA.GOV); DS-FJ Environmental Office; Tarkington,
Laurie E DLA CIV INSTALLATION SUPPORT; Cox, Irvin P Jr DLA CIV DISTRIBUTION SAN JOAQUIN, CA; DS-FJ Industrial
Hygienist
Subject: RE: Notice to develop and submit a Risk Management Plan for the CalARP Program for Defense Distribution
Depot of San Joaquin, 25600 S.
