However, our records indicate that your business has not <br /> been in compliance in prior years. The requirements of Chapter 6.95 of the California Health and <br /> Office of Emergency Services (OES) <br /> Safety Code took effect in 1986. In these circumstances, County ordinance requires billing of <br /> back fees to the year that our records show your business exceeded program quantities for <br /> hazardous materials. A 10% late fee will be <br /> assessed for delinquent payments if not postmarked by the due date. <br /> If a business is unable to pay the HMW fee in one payment, they will be given the opportunity to <br /> make payments according to a set payment schedule. These payments will include a to late <br /> penalty. Please contact our office to make arrangements. <br /> By law, all building permits must be reviewed for compliance with the provisions of Chapter 6.95 <br /> of the California Health and Safety Code.
