Shop employees must report all hazardous spills to their foreman. The foreman's <br /> duty is to have the spill cleaned up using appropriate means and disposing of the <br /> hazardous waste in the specified hazardous waste container. HAZARDOUS WASTE <br /> DOES NOT GO INTO THE REGULAR GARBAGE.Example, If absorbent or a rag is <br /> used to clean up a hazardous waste spill it must be disposed of at the Thick Shop or the <br /> West Shop. The Truck Shop has a barrel for used absorbent and the West Shop has a <br /> barrel for used rags <br /> What is considered a hazardous waste? Here at the plant the following items are the <br /> possible predominant hazardous wastes and should be disposed of properly. <br /> Any petroleum product such as engine oil,diesel,or hydraulic fluid,paint, or <br /> antifreeze. <br /> In case of a major hazardous spill beyond Stockton Steel's clean-op capacity: <br /> Immediate evacuation of the facility. <br /> The following personnel must be notified immediately.John Coutts,Dave Collom, Kelly <br /> Sain, Elmer Brown, Derric Juano. <br /> The local emergency services will be notified. (911) <br /> The County Officc of Emergency Services will be notified. (468-3962) <br /> One of the contracted clean-up companies must be called. These companies arc listed in <br /> the HMMP which is located in the back of the MSDS binder <br /> In case of an earthquake: <br /> Immediate evacuation of the facility. <br /> All compressed gas lines must be shut off. . <br /> Before work can resume all buildings and fueling area must be inspected for damage. <br />
