BALDWIN <br />COORDINATOR <br />SUBJECT: 1996 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS MANAGEMENT PLAN (HMMP) <br />PLEASE READ ENTIRE PACKAGE <br />This packet consists of information and instructions needed to comply with the Hazardous Materials <br />Management Plan (HMMP) requirement of the San Joaquin County Hazardous Materials Program. <br />This program is mandated by Chapter 6.95, Division 20, Section 25500 et seq. of the California Health <br />and Safety Code. This law establishes spill and inventory reporting requirements, as well as the <br />requirement for businesses which handle hazardous materials to have an emergency plan. This <br />inventory also incorporates the Federal SARA Title III, Sections 311 and 312 reporting requirements. <br />Enclosed are the following documents: <br />1. Description of Chapter 6.95 legal requirements for businesses <br />2. Chemical Release Reporting Guidelines <br />3. Federal, State, and Local Emergency Response Contacts <br />4. Acutely Hazardous Materials Registration Form <br />5. Hazardous Materials Management Plan/Chemical Inventory <br />If any documents are missing, contactthe Office of Emergency Services atthe number provided below. <br />You are required by law to retain a current and accurate copy of your HMMP at your facility. These <br />documents must be readily available and accessible to employees. Authorities may request to see your <br />copies during inspections. If you have any questions concerning business requirements or completion <br />of the enclosed forms, please contact the Office of Emergency Services at (209) 468-3969.
