It is not required to report chemicals to the California Environmental
Reporting System (CERS) if these chemicals are below the reportable quantities. With few exceptions, most chemicals are
reportable when the quantity of the material reaches 55 gallons of a liquid, 500 pounds of a solid, and 200 cubic feet of a
compressed gas, except for inert gasses such a carbon dioxide, helium, etc.(the reporting threshold begins at 1,200 c.f).This is
not a concern or a violation. However, in San Joaquin County you will be enrolled in the Hazardous Materials Business Plan
(HMBP). If your business is under the HMBP, you will be inspected every three years and have to pay annual fees. This is
applied to all the stores. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thankyou
Haza Saeed
Hazardous Materials Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.Hazelton Ave.
Stockton,California 95205
(209)953-6212
1
