HAZARDOUS MATERIALS BUSINESS PLAN (HMBP) EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN (ERP) <br /> AND MONITORING PLAN (MP) TRAINING <br /> The Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP), Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Written Monitoring <br /> Plan (MP) are located in the Green Tab of the Underground Storage Tank(UST) Records Binder. All of <br /> these documents are submitted to the respective county agency and are required to be kept on-site. . <br /> Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) <br /> This document contains the specific business activities regarding hazardous materials handling and <br /> storage. Business Owner, Environmental Contact and Emergency Contact information must be provided <br /> in this document. A Hazardous Materials Inventory must be completed for each site indicating the <br /> type(s) of hazardous materials generated and stored onsite. Changes to these documents must be <br /> submitted to the county agency within 30-days of the change. <br /> Please refer to the HMBP located in the Green Tab to ensure employees know the location of <br /> this document. Review of the Material Safety Data Sheets included with the HMBP is <br /> required. <br /> Emergency Response Plan ERP <br /> California Underground Storage Tanks (UST) Regulations require that facilities with USTs prepare a <br /> written response plan which describes how an unauthorized release will be handled. This plan must be <br /> approved by the county Hazardous Materials Division. <br /> This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The elements of this monitoring <br /> program constitute the conditions of the UST operating permit. The permit holder must notify the county <br /> Hazardous Materials Division within 30-days of any changes to the monitoring program, unless required <br /> to obtain approval before making the changes. <br /> Please refer to section # 3 Emergency Response / Contact Information for the procedures <br /> for control/clean-up of an unauthorized release. <br /> Written Monitoring Plan (MP) <br /> This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The elements of this monitoring <br /> program constitute conditions of the UST operating permit. The permit holder must notify the county <br /> Hazardous Materials Division within 30-days of any changes to the monitoring program, unless required <br /> to obtain approval before making the changes. <br /> Please refer to the MP located in the Green Tab to ensure employees know the location of <br /> this document. <br /> The complete employee training required to satisfy this section consists of reading the Hazardous <br /> Materials Business Plan (HMBP) with special attention to the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and the <br /> location of all emergency equipment. Training also includes review of the Materials Safety Data Sheets <br /> (MSDS) for chemicals stored on-site.
