The waste from the drain was confirmed <br /> as being hauled off as non-hazardous. <br /> -At the Corp Yard across from building 843, a non-empty aerosol can of wasp killer with a broken nozzle labeled as <br /> "Wasp Freeze" was found in the trash. <br /> -Outside of building 874, two rectangular scrap metal bins had metal fines. Both Dawn Kramer and Kenneth Newman <br /> stated the waste from the bins goes they stated that it goes to metal recycling. Mr. Newman confirmed that all metal <br /> fines are being managed as hazardous waste. <br /> Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of only by transportation to a permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and <br /> disposal facility(TSDF). Immediately cease disposal of hazardous waste, remove these hazardous wastes from trash <br /> and recycling containers and manage them in accordance with Title 22 regulations. Ensure that all future waste is <br /> hauled by a licensed hazardous waste transporter to a permitted TSDF. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 204 HSC 25201(a) Failed to obtain a permit to treat hazardous waste. <br /> Hazardous Material inspectors found a pallet of several 5 gallon paint containers including oil-based paint stored open <br /> at the Corp Yard across from building 843. Several 5 gallon containers of oil-based paint are being treated by allowing <br /> the oil-based paint to dry and release into the air without a permit to treat hazardous waste.
