0 <br />Refrigerant Recovery Procedures: <br />MAY 18 201 <br />Direct vapor/small volume liquid method for units with minimal liquid charges. ENViRONMENTAL <br />Medium Pressure Refrigerants (R-22, R-12, R -134a, R-500, R-502, R-507 and blendk)F )GD°°TRACNT <br />Site arrival: <br />Contact client or other appropriate site contact person; explain procedure & who sent you, if applicable. <br />Confirm work to be performed. <br />Confirm refrigerant type; use Neutronics Refrigerant Identifier as appropriate. <br />Use a gauge to confirm there is a charge in the unit if possible. <br />Set up: <br />Park truck mounted unit as close as possible to unit location — remove recovery unit from truck and roll <br />to set-up location as appropriate. Try to remain within 5 degrees of level. <br />Confirm security, protection from traffic hazard. <br />Try to maintain line of sight from unit to equipment area. <br />Attach recovery machine outlet hose to recovery cylinder and open. <br />Start unit, open lines to suction hose. <br />Unroll hose, protect landscaping, walls, etc. from hose. <br />If inside protect walls, carpets, etc. from hose. <br />Hook up: <br />Recovery: <br />Shutdown: <br />Connect suction line set to both high and low side ports if possible. <br />Use king valves, Schraeder valve removal tools or piercing tools as appropriate. <br />On very large liquid charges use pull — pull procedure to remove liquid. See next page. <br />Monitor suction and discharge pressures. <br />Monitor recovery -cylinder for weight, pressure and non-condensables. <br />Check system for cold/icy spots indicating liquid pockets. <br />When system shows appropriate vacuum level shut off suction from recovery machine at unit and <br />watch for a rise in pressure; if pressure rises, continue recovery and repeat, until vacuum level <br />holds. <br />Close all suction valves; disconnect hoses and retract lines. <br />Pump down recovery unit into cylinder. <br />Sticker and/or tag unit(s) as appropriate. <br />Complete work order with all information including refrigerant weight and type. <br />Confirm completion with client, dispatcher and/or any other appropriate person. <br />An Independently Owned and Operated Franchise Company <br />REFRIGERANT ABATEMENT EXPERTS" <br />
