Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />(209) 468-3420 <br />ZONA CORRIGAN <br />2336 WEST ALPINE <br />STOCKTON CA 95204 <br />FEB 2 8 1994 <br />RE•• 620 SAN JUAN SITE CODE:. 2001 <br />STOCKTON CA <br />San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br />Division (PHS/EHD) has completed the review of the "Soil <br />Excavation Report" dated January 21, 1994, submitted by RESNA <br />Industries, and has the following comments. <br />The December 1993 over -excavation activities appear to have <br />removed the bulk of the hydrocarbon impacted soil from the site, <br />with the exception of a small area of impacted soil remaining <br />beneath the building. <br />The report provides some data regarding the amount of <br />hydrocarbons remaining. However, additional data is needed <br />before the site can be considered for closure. The additional <br />data required is noted below and can be submitted to PHS/EHD in a <br />brief addendum to the original report. <br />* Mass volume calculations need to be made on all <br />constituents of concern to remain in place, in addition <br />to the calculation already made of hydrocarbons in the <br />diesel range. <br />Please include the actual calculations in the addendum. <br />* Additional discussion on the type of soils encountered <br />at the site and why a low transmissivity is expected. <br />You may include published data regarding the <br />transmissivity of the type of soils actually <br />encountered at the site. <br />* A discussion on the expected future migration of <br />hydrocarbons remaining adsorbed to the soils at the <br />A Division of San Joaquin County Heath Care Services <br />ii <br />
