tProblem Assessment Report <br />for Soil and Groundwater Conlammailon <br />Ip Corngan Property (Project No W0541 00) <br />During the excavation process, the pit will be dewatered if necessary by pumping groundwater <br />' which flows into the pit to a portable Baker Tank on-site Purged groundwater will be sampled <br />for BTEX, TPHG, and TPHD and stored on-site pending determination of appropriate <br />' remediation disposal Disposal options include transportation to a licensed disposal facility or <br />on-site treatment by carbon or bioremediation with subsequent disposal to the city sewer system. <br />1 <br />Following excavation, it is anticipated a total of four verification samples will be collected from <br />the excavation pit. One sample will be collected from each sidewall of the excavation The <br />exact location of samples will be determined in the field under the regulatory guidance of <br />PHSIEHD. <br />All verification soil samples will be collected from the backhoe bucket at least three inches <br />below the surface of the soil The samples will be collected into prewashed brass liners. Each <br />liner will be sealed with Teflon sheet and plastic caps, sealed in air -tight bags, and preserved <br />on ice pending shipment to a state -certified laboratory. <br />Soil samples will be transported under chain -of -custody to a state -certified laboratory for <br />analyses Samples will be analyzed for BTEX, TPHG, and TPHD using EPA methods 8020 and <br />8015 <br />Soil sample collection and transport will be performed in accordance with RESNA's Quality <br />Assurance and Quality Control Plan on file with PHSIEHD. <br />Upon approval from PHSIEHD, the open pit will be backfilled with self compacting material <br />in accordance with local agency requirements <br />11 PAR -0393 FNL <br />11 <br />9 <br />
