Problem Assessment Report
for Soil and Groundwater Contamination
ipCorrigan Property (Project No W0541 00)
3.0 TECHNICAL DATA
' 3.1 Name and Address of Site, Tank Owner, and Contact Person
Site and Tank Owner Mrs Zona Corrigan
' 2336 West Alpine Avenue
Stockton, CA 95204
IContact Person
Mr Lee Helms
John Cyr Realtors, Inc
P.O Box 1567
Stockton, CA 95201
3.2 Regional Topography/Geology
The site is situated on level terrain underlain by flood basin deposits of Pleistocene and Holocene
age These sediments are composed of clay, silt, and some sand In the San Joaquin Valley,
the Flood Basin Deposits (Holocene) have been estimated to be as much as 100 feet thick (US GS
Professional Paper 1401-C, 1986) Because of their fine-grained nature, the flood basin deposits
in general do not yield much water to wells and impede the vertical movement of water. The
ma1onty of groundwater used for irrigation and drinking water supplies is extracted from more
permeable zones beneath the flood basin deposits.
3.3 Well Location Survey
Well location data within a one-half mile radius of the site have been reviewed at the Department
of Water Resources (DWR) Central District office The proximity of private, municipal, and
imgation wells located within a one-half mile radius of the site is shown on Figure 9 The
closest well is located approximately 800 feet east of the site.
4.0 ADDITIONAL SUBSURFACE CHARACTERIZATION
4.1 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
First quarter 1993 groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on January 27, 1993
by RESNA personnel Water level measurements were collected using an electronic water level
probe, accurate to the nearest 1/100 of a foot Groundwater monitonng of wells MW1, MW2,
PAR -0393 FNL 3
