DS -8000 series adhesives are UL Listed for use with RED THREAD IIA pipe and RED THREAD II fittings or RED THREAD 11 secondary con- tainment fittings for petroleum products, alcohols, and alcohol - gasoline mixtures. When joining secondary containment fittings, a special filler, available from Smith Fiberglass Products, must be added to the adhesive. All joints — both product and secondary containment pipe -to -pipe and pipe -to -fittings — must be heat -cured using electric heating collars or chemical heat packs from Smith Fiberglass Products. For petroleum products only, DS - 7000 series adhesives can be used. You must add a special filler to DS - 7000 series adhesives when joining secondary containment fittings. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS AND RATINGS"' Electric heating collars and chemi- cal heat packs can be used to speed up DS -7000 series adhesive cure time. DS -7000 series adhesives are not UL Listed for alcohol or alcohol - gasoline mixtures.
