The OPW 53V Sall Float Vent Valves protrude into underground storage tanks from
OPW 233V(Ni) Series Extractor Fittings at the Stage I vapor return rw' - ipe or tank
vent line. During a product derroerj,' as the tank level rises, a counterweight stainless
steel ball seats on the naive body and restricts flow of vapors back to the transport
truck, As the vapors become compressed in the tank (uffage), product flow into the tank
is severely restricted. The 53V Series Bail Float mem the U.S. EPA 905'a requirement
for product flow restriction into underground storao tanks. The 53VML-0046 Bail Float,
without vapor flow oriflca, is designed to prevenf cross-cantaminadon of product grades
with underground, manifold vent lines. The 53V v L-0060 and 53VML-0065 are
designed as tack-up' overfill protection for overff l pmvendon valves, and to
minimize product miring Niih enderground maniioid vent lines.
Feabras
* Stainless Steel Counterweight Ball
Float — Corrosion -resistant for a long
service rde.
