Prepared by David Rabb Tracer Research QA
Approved by Randy Golding Traces Tzoisa
Guideline No 10 Rev 1 Date 03110/03 Field Guideline V-2
1 . lastaallation Guidelines
1.1 Installations must follow these guidelines/procedures and the construction drawings. The
sampling technician before approval of the instal ation will locate, map, and verify depths of
all HSP. Any deviation will delay the project.
1.2 All HSP's must be free of defects. It is important that the sampling technician can move the
sampling tools throughout the HSP without refusal. If he encounters a refusal, vertical probes
drilled through, the concrete will become necessary. -
13 Always replace the probe caps when not in use. Having gravel enter the HSP will create an
impasse.
1.4 Aiways use Tracer Tight® parts. These parts are needed to allow the tooling access to the
HSP.
1-5 Be sure you have the ground water data Installing the HSP underwater will result in having
to abandon the HSP and installing vertical probes which will delay the project.
1.6 If you are not sure what to do, contact a Tracer Tighter technician at. 520-888-9400 Ex.t250
2 Supplies
2.1 Pull boxes
22 Construction drawings of the sampling system (by owner)
23 Horizontal Sampling Probes (HSP)
23.1 20fr HSP
2.3-2 Connections
2.33 90? sweeps
23.1 45? weeps
2.3.5 Couplings
2.3.6 Probe cis aril assemblies
2 3.7 1 Cr =..
