FIRE SAFE'OAII Metallic Connectors ME= Fire Safe stainless steel flex connector is engineered to exceed UL's requirements for 1000°F for fire resistance in underground installations, buried or in sumps. Braid reinforcement and innercore are con- structed of 300 Series stainless steel. Fittings are of plated carbon steel suitable for service down to -40°F. Titeflex Fire Safe offers the added feature of full vacuum capability without risk of collapse, and when compared with available competitive connectors, the rugged and durable all -metallic construction of Titeflex Fire Safe provides greater resistance to the damage that is commonly associated with mishandling or abuse during installation. SOIL SAFE° 20 Tef®n Connectors TITEF .RX revolutionized flex connectors with the unique design and construction of SOIL SAFE. The outer portion of the SOIL SAFE 20 connector is con- structed of a rugged abrasion -resistant plastic braid. A second layer of polyethylene film provides a moisture barrier and is tension wrapped over a third layer of a protective stainless steel braid. This metallic braid provides damage resistance in handling and it is com- pletely encapsulated for protection from exposure. The flexible, chemically inert convoluted Teflon liner, the same as that used in stainless braided flex connec- rs, offers compatability with all blends of fuel, includ- "' ' g ethanol and methanol. Carbon steel end fittings have an vl,tra heav- y layer of zinc dichroirate plating for enhanced corrosion resistance. Because the carbon steel end fittings are, by design, eiectroiytically isolated from a corrosion circuit created by contact of dissimilar metals (stainless steel braid and carbon steel fittings) found on standard connectors, SOIL SAFE 20 is im- mune to galvanic corrosive failure that stainless steel braided connectors may experience. SOIL SAFE' 30 Teflon Connectors Offering all the same advantages of rugged construc- tion as SOIL SAFE 20, SOIL SAFE 30 provides the additional protection of an engineered, factory -fitted cathodic protection system. Because we have perma- nently attached the anode at the factory, problems typically associated with other field -fitted anode hose connectors have been eliminated. SOIL SAE 30's integral anodes are specifically designed to protect the exposed end fittings of the connector for a minimum of 30 years in most soil conditions, backed by an available corrosion warranty. Use Soil Safe 30 for direct burial with 30 year corrosion warranty. SOIL SWE0AM Mon-metaffic Catvedors This is the fust and only non-metallic flex connector to be listed by Underwriters Laboratories. The All Plastic Connector (APC) is designed to comply with EPA, State, and Local regulations governing corrosion resis- tance while eliminating the need for cathodic protection, monitoring or electrolytic isolation in single wall back- filled systems. All SOIL SAFE APC components have been engineered with state-of-the-art plastic materials that will not corrode under any soil conditions. The fittings are molded from a proprietary fiber reinforced space age resin which provides strength for damage resistance and dimensional stability equivalent to steel without corrosion! The hose offers a new -generation innercore of Teflon, reinforced with a rugged, abrasion - resistant, nylon monofilament braid. The combination provides superior kink and crush resistance, flexibility and unmatched vacuum capability. Use Soil Safe APC for direct burial in any soil condition.
