REDDING OFFICE <br />530-246-9499 Ph <br />SACRAMENTO OFFICE <br />AIPE 916-927-7000 ph <br />MID PACIFIC ENGINEERING, INC. <br />GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING I EARTHWORK TESTING I MATERIALS ENGINEERING AND TESTING I CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION <br />To whom it may concern, <br />I am submitting a permit application to the San Joaquin County, Environmental Health <br />Department, for vertical soil borings that will be performed for a Geotechnical Investigation. <br />Included in this submittal is the permit application, licensed contractors declaration, and a plot <br />plan with a google earth image showing the location of the boring. <br />Once this permit is approved; the drilling date will be scheduled. We will drill approximately iz <br />borings, 15 to 25 feet below existing grade. Soil samples will be obtained in 5 feet increments <br />and will be taken back to our lab. A boring log will be prepared during the drilling including <br />soil descriptions and blow counts for every sample taken. An inspector will be scheduled at <br />least 24 hours prior the date of the boring. Hard hats, vests, and protective shoes will be worn <br />at all times. At the end of our drilling and sampling, the boring will be sealed with Neat <br />Cement.
