SAN JOAQUIN FARM BUP4,EAU FEDERATION
9 MEETING TODAY'S CHALLENGES / PLANNING FOR TOMORROW
O
October 26, 2016
Ms. Alisa Goulart
San Joaquin County Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 Hazleton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: PA -1600240 (SA)
Dear Ms. Goulart:
The San Joaquin Fane Bureau Federation is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the
protection and enhancement of the agricultural resources in San Joaquin County for over 100
years. We would like to extend our support for project PA -1600240, a site approval application
for an agricultural waste processing facility.
We believe the use of processing agricultural waste conforms the agricultural zoning for the
portion of the project site that is agriculturally zoned. It is absolutely critical to the long term
maintenance and enhancement of the agricultural industry to see growth in the support industries.
It is also incredibly advantageous for growers that these support businesses are accessible locally
and will certainly contribute to local economic growth.
We strongly encourage your staff to approve this application. Please keep us informed as this
project moves forward. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Farm Bureau
staff at (209) 931-4931.
Sincerely,
President
3290 NORTH AD ART ROAD • STOCKTON, CA • 95215 - (209) 931-0931 • (209) 931-1433 Fax
WWW.SJFB.ORG
