SECTION 1 (continued) <br />EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE AGENCIES MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING A RELEASE OR <br />THREATENED RELEASE THAT PRESENTS AN IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />OF EMPLOYEES OR THE PUBLIC. <br />WHEN NOTIFYING OUTSIDE AGENCIES OF A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL RELEASE OR THREATENED <br />RELEASE, USE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES: <br />1. Identify problem <br />2. Initiate business emergency plan <br />3. Perform safety requirements <br />4. Phone emergency response agencies and provide: <br />o Nature of incident (spill, explosion, fire, etc.) <br />o Location of incident <br />o Time/date incident occurred <br />o Name of hazardous material(s) <br />o Approximate quantity involved <br />o Safe location on or near facility where emergency responders can <br />meet company Emergency Coordinator <br />o Number of injuries and cause of injuries <br />o Whether facility is being evacuated <br />o Whether surrounding area should be evacuated <br />o Whether individuals have been contaminated <br />o Other information requested <br />SECTION 1 <br />BUSINESS EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION/RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Identify any special organizations, departments, etc. within the business which <br />have emergency response as their primary mission and explain their <br />responsibilities. ..
