Box 2009 • (1601 East Hazelton Avenue) • Stockton, Califomia 95201 <br />(209) 468-3400 <br />December 8, 1993 <br />JOHN MELING <br />NESTLE/HILLS BROTHERS <br />COFFEE COMPANY <br />230 INDUSTRIAL AVENUE <br />RIPON CA 95366 <br />RE: REPORT OF VIOLATIONS AND SCHEDULE OF CORRECTION <br />On October 20, 1993, San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br />Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD), conducted an inspection <br />of Nestle Beverage Company located at 230 Industrial Ave., Ripon, <br />CA, 95366. <br />As a result of that inspection, a violation of the hazardous <br />waste regulations was identified. The specific violation and <br />required corrective actions are listed below. Failure to correct <br />the identified violation within the scheduled period will result <br />in PHS-EHD citing you for continuing/additional violations. <br />I. REPORT OF VIOLATIONS: <br />1. Section 66262.34 (f)(3), Article 3, Chapter 12, Title 22, <br />California Code of Regulations: The hazardous waste <br />containers used to store spent carbon contaminated with <br />trichloroethylene (TCE) were not properly labeled. <br />II. SCHEDULE OF CORRECTIONS: <br />1. Within 10 days of receipt of this report, all hazardous <br />waste containers shall be properly labeled with the <br />following information: <br />1. The accumulation start date <br />2. The words "Hazardous Waste" <br />3. Composition and physical state of the waste <br />4. Statement(s) which will call attention to the <br />particular hazardous properties of the waste <br />5.
