Stockton Avenue. As we have discussed in our
past phone conversations the City of Ripon purchased this property for potential
development and have no interest in using the underground tanks.
The City is having the tanks removed by issuing a change order to the contractor
who is currently working on the adjacent Stockton Avenue rehabilitation project. The
contractor has already received estimates from his subcontractor, Modesto Sand and
Gravel and will be starting the removal of the tanks as soon as the paper work is
complete. It is estimated this work will be complete within a month and a half. We
appreciated your patience and understanding regarding this matter.
We request that we have a two-month period of time to have the tank removal
process completed. Within this time we will have the tanks completely remove to your
office satisfaction or we will obtain all required penults, complete all documentation and
pay all appropriate fees for operating the underground fuel tank no later then November
1, 2009. Please contact me if you should have any questions regarding this matter.
Thank you for your consideration of our request.
CITY OF RIPON
Ted John ton
Public Works Director
