Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Regarding: Used underground storage tank disposition.
On August 16, 1994 SEMCO assumed ownership of (1) 10,000 gallon and (1)
6,000 gallon used underground diesel storage tank. The tanks were removed
from Ripon Milling at 320 S. Stockton Street, Ripon, CA. The tanks have been
triple rinsed, using a hot water, bio degradable detergent. The rinsate was
pumped from the tanks and and disposed of by Allied Petroleum. They were
inerted by placing dry ice (300 pounds for the 10k, and 180 pounds for the 6k)
inside to purge any vapors from the tanks, bringing the LEL to zero. The tanks
will have an asphalt emulsion coating applied and be retrofitted for use for non -
potable water storage for the purpose of fire suppression. They will be
permanently installed at the proposed building site of the Oakdale Kingdom Hall
at 7430 Gilbert Road, Oakdale, CA. This usage of the tanks is based on
approval of San Joaquin County Public Health Services.
Please see the attached letter from Howard DeCavit of The Stanislaus County
Fire Department, and the attached tank disposition records.
JcC
kL.
