S . Environmental Protection Agency , SPCC Guidance for Regional
Inspectors , Version 1 . 0 , 11 /28/2005 .
j
Dear Mr . Stein :
We have completed the visual inspection of tank systems at the Unified Grocers facility
located in Stockton , California per the requirements of USEPA' s Spill Prevention ,
Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) guidelines . Copies of the walkdown forms
completed during the tank inspections and photos of the tanks are attached .
Six aboveground storage tanks , listed in Attachment 1 , were visually inspected per
USEPA SPCC guidelines . The completed walkdown forms can be seen in Attachment
2 . Photos of the six aboveground storage tanks can be seen in Attachments 3 to 8 . Two
tanks , AST- 1 and AST-2 , have secondary containment which meets the Release
Prevention Barrier requirement . Tanks AST-3 and AST-5 are of double-wall construction
and tanks AST4 and AST-6 are elevated horizontal tanks . Therefore all tank systems
satisfy the Continuous Release Detection Method requirement . Additionally , there were
no signs of leakage , cracks , or other damage on the tanks or on associated piping and
valves .
Sincerely , f1 "
M.
L
r No C58363
Grace M .
