11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />CARCINOGENICITY INFORMATION <br />Not listed as a carcinogen by NTP. Not regulated as a carcinogen by OSHA. Not evaluated by IARC. <br />REPORTED HUMAN EFFECTS <br />No human toxicity studies have been carried out with this product. May cause skin, eye or respiratory irritation <br />due to pH. <br />COMPONENT - inorganic salt: Ingestion of concentrated solutions produced gingival necrosis and hemorrhagic <br />gastroenteritis, accompanied by incoordination, clonic contractions, and evidence of nephritis. <br />COMPONENT - biocide: Reported to cause skin sensitization (allergic reaction). Decomposition products <br />cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation. <br />REPORTED ANIMAL EFFECTS <br />No animal toxicity studies have been carried out with this product. <br />COMPONENT - inorganic salt: Acute oral LD50 (rats) for hydrated material: 2812 mg/kg. Acute oral LD50 <br />(mouse) for anhydrous material: 6207 mg/kg. Acute dermal LD50 (rabbit): > 21.4 g/kg, mild skin irritation, and <br />acute eye irritation was moderate. In a 28 -day feeding study at 10000 ppm in the diet (hydrated material), rats <br />showed no grossly observable signs of intoxication. At autopsy, a mild incidence of enlarged and/or cystic <br />kidneys were noted at all dietary levels. <br />12 ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />ECOTOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />No ecological studies have been carried out on this product. <br />13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS <br />WASTE DISPOSAL <br />Incineration in accordance with applicable regulations is the recommended disposal method.
