Follow this step-by-step plan forhandling spills -and leaks. <br />1. Barricade the area to keep customers, visitors and unnecessary employees from wanderdng <br />into the spill <br />2. Notify a, manager or supervisor immediately <br />I Protect yourself with personal protective clothing, such, as rubber gloves and safety glasses. <br />4. Determine what the hazardous material is that you are handling. Do' this by checking <br />the label of a similar product. <br />5. Cover the spill to prevent further evaporation. <br />b. Ventilate the area, if needed, by opening doors. <br />7. -Clean up the spill with absorbent materials or pads. <br />8. Properly store the hazardous materials in a labeled container for disposal. <br />9.
