THE UNDE136ROUND
PROBE.
Probes for the FD 102 Fluid
Detection System are placed in
individual underground wells
surrounding the buried petroleum
canks. The compact size of the
probes makes them economical
to install, and they require no
calibration.
Probes are preset to ignore
small residual layers of petroleum
less than 14 -inch which indicate a
presence, but not a leak. Where
response to a larger- or lesser -
degree is required, this setting
is site -adjustable from %8 -inch to
2 inches in depth. An amount of
hydrocarbons will quickly
accumulate to this depth.
The sensor floats at the
oil/water interface level. It maintains
interface even with various ground
water fluctuation.
Electrical connections are
accomplished at a junction box
at the wellhead.
Each probe features a
Push -to -test button and three LEDs
r indicating underground status.
Red for hydrocarbons. Yellow for -
water. And green for air. These
indicators allow a periodic check on
the system. They also let operators
pinpoint the exact probe that has
triggered an alarm at the control
monitor.
The underground probe senses
hydrocarbon hazards before they
have a chance to spread. What was
once "out of sight" is no longer
"out of mind." So there's no more
hidden danger. No more unpleasant
surprises. You're in control. And
you're able to take action in time.
gal
pl Ar -,1
FLUID DETECTION BYBTEM
MORE RANGE,
MORE COVERAGE.
With up LO ten underground
probes, you can encircle a large fuel
storage area. And, the FD 102
permits up to 4000 feet between
probe and monitor locations.
THE MASTER
CONTROL.
Should a probe detect the presence
of hydrocarbons the FD 102 master
control will sound an alarm. It can
even activate effective counter-
measure devices. Immediately.
Before any damage is done. The
FD 102 Master Control is the
"nerve center" that ties all your
sensors together.
The Master Control is
Underwriter's Laboratory and
Factory Mutual approved. It fits a
variety of mounting locations with
minimum space requirements.
M 10
APPROVED Lisle(i 47(;1
VISUAL INDICATORS:
RED= HYDROCARBONS
YELLOW=WATER
GREEN= DRY (AIR)
POWER INDICATOR
VERIFIES SYSTEM
S OPERATIONAL)
AUDIBLE
ALARM FOR
HYDROCARBONS
NEMA 4 ENCLOSURE
FOR PERMANENT
INSTALLATION
INDOORS OR
OUTDOORS
+14
