Listed RED THREAD II pipe, <br />manufactured by Smith Fiberglass. Secondary containment systems <br />consist of the next larger size of pipe and special two-piece fittings. <br />Refer to Manual 9474 or 1055 and Bulletin 1004 for installation in- <br />structions for the U.L. Listed pipe. <br />SECTION I <br />PREPARATION AND ASSEMBLY <br />A. Containment fittings accept <br />only plain -end pipe (thoroughly sanded). <br />The ends of the containment pipe must be thoroughly sanded <br />with 40-60 grit sandpaper to remove all surface gloss when <br />the pipe is to be joined with fittings. Any heavy resin drips or <br />surface irregularities must be removed. Where possible, place containment fitting <br />halves under the product fittings. (See Figure 2) <br />
