Each regulatory agency has
a threshold as to what must be done by a manufacturer to receive their blessing for
installation within their jurisdiction.
In most states of the USA approval is vested at the state level. Some states allow
the local counties or cities to adopt their own constraints before they will allow a
product to be installed.
✓ Where a State, County or City has their own approval process, that data is contained on our
website.
✓ You may visit our website www.dpm-llc.com and checkout our "Approvals" section to find
information that deals with each state and local regulatory agency and their requirements.
We have provided in this reference manual some of the relevant data for your
initial review and approval of our products.
✓ Third party Testing Approvals:
• DPM has had all of its products reviewed by a third party RH Lee and Associates in 2003.
Those approvals have been reproduced and attached for your review.
✓ UL Approvals:
• DPM sought and received a listing for its penetration fittings in 1996 and again in 2004.
The 2004 UL report is reproduced hereinafter for your review. Note that the approval
for our split repair products was dated in 2006, the tests were performed in 2004. UL
just did not get around to including the products in letter form until 2006.
✓ Manufacturers Approvals:
* Some agencies require a manufacturers approval for a product to be repaired.
When it comes to penetration fittings, some manufacturers have been out of business
and such approvals may be impossible to obtain.
• When it comes to Liners for spill containers some manufacturers are not cooperative as
they perceive the lining of their product to be a conflict with their current sales
objectives.
We have included a manufacturers approvals section for your consideration.
Diversified Products Manufacturing Inc, Approvals for Tech Manual Rev 2 Page 1 of 13
