BELL FACILITY — UE656 <br />Locked The following items are maintained locked closed: <br />Equipment <br />Fill spill container hinged cover. <br />The terminus of fuel piping is in the locked generator emclosure. <br />Hazardous material handlers receive initial job and safety training that includes the following: <br />1. Equipment operations and maintenance <br />2. Fuel handling and tank filling procedures <br />3. Proper fitting and use of personal protective clothing and equipment. <br />4. Proper use and locations of fire and spill control equipment. <br />5. Specific hazards of each chemical (using MSDS's) to which employees may be exposed. <br />6. Applicable pollution control laws, rules, & regulations <br />7. Emergency response procedures <br />8. Spill notification procedures <br />Pacific Bell employees receive annual Hazard Communication Training and Emergency Methods of Procedures (EMOP) and Operations <br />training in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 8 that includes: <br />1. Procedures for internal alarms and on-site emergency notification. <br />2. Procedures for emergency response notification off-site. <br />3. Location and content of facility emergency response plan. <br />4. Evacuation and re-entry procedures. <br />5. Procedures for chemical spill mitigation. <br />6. SPCC training in accordance with 40 CFR Part 112. <br />A record of all training is kept in the employee's personnel file. <br />Spill Spill response will be limited to actions that are safe and within the scope of employee training and resources. <br />Response Typically, employees will respond to and clean-up small spills. Large spills will be handled by outside contractors <br />Policy or emergency response agencies. <br />Spill The site has a variety of equipment and material that can be used to respond to or clean up small spills. The equipment <br />Response and material includes one or more of the following: <br />Gear <br />Oil absorbent socks <br />Oil absorbent pads or pillows <br />Particulate absorbent <br />Spill Response to spills and/or incidents will be handled as outlined in the Hazardous Materials/Wastes Management <br />Response Handbook (Section 9:01). <br />Procedures <br />Approved contractors for emergency response include the following: <br />• International Technology (IT Corp.)
