N <br /> page 2 <br /> 640 EI Dorado <br /> It is the recommendation of Ground Zero that additional borings be advanced to the <br /> southeast and north of the former tank pit area, and that a minimum of three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells be installed. <br /> It is the recommendation of PHS/EHD that additional borings be advanced in all <br /> directions from the former tank pit area to completely define the vertical and lateral <br /> extent of contamination to soil and water. It is further recommended that the additional <br /> borings be advanced using geoprobe continuous core methodology or cone <br /> penetrometer testing (CPT) to more fully understand the subsurface Iithology. <br /> Monitoring wells will need to be installed. <br /> Please submit to PHS/EHD by August 20, 1999 a work plan to continue the investigation <br /> of the contamination evidenced at this site. Include in the work plan the PHS/EHD <br /> recommendations discussed above.
