This plan provides a <br /> list of procedures that allow us to respond immediately and appropriately to <br /> incidents such as fires and spills. All members of the management staff must be <br /> familiar with the procedures detailed in this plan. <br /> 1. Emergency Coordinator- responsible for coordinating the facility's emergency response <br /> procedures. Emergency Procedures- procedures to be followed in the event that an emergency occurs. <br /> I. Emergency <br /> Q. Is there an imminent or actual emergency that will threaten human health or the environment? <br /> A. Yes; proceed with the following steps. <br /> Step 1. Alert staff and evacuate facility(see evacuation map). <br /> Step 2. If fire or release of hazardous waste, determine the character, source, amount <br /> and real extent of release using observation,facility records, and manifests. <br /> Step 3. If possible, use emergency equipment on-site to contain or mitigate emergency. <br /> Step 4. Notify local response agencies. (see list of agencies in "Emergency Services" <br /> section). <br /> Step 5. Notify Prime Shine maintenance department and Prime Shine headquarters. <br /> Step 6. Notify Office of Emergency Services (see list of agencies in "Emergency <br /> Services"section). <br /> II. Post Emergency <br /> Step 1. Make arrangement for treating, recovering and transporting any waste involved <br /> in the emergency. <br /> Step 2. Ensure that all equipment and machinery affected by emergency has been <br /> returned to perfect operating condition. <br /> Step 3. Ensure that all emergency equipment listed in the contingency plan is clean and <br /> fit for its intended use before facility operations resume. <br /> - 3 - <br />
