Kettleman Lane Lodi, CA 95240 <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />133. This facility does not have a hazardous waste tank assessment for the used oil tank and the used <br />coolant tank. Owners or operators of new tank systems or components shall ensure that the foundation, <br />structural support, seams, connections, and pressure controls (if applicable) are adequately designed <br />and that the tank system has sufficient structural strength, compatibility with the waste(s) to be <br />transferred, stored or treated, and corrosion protection so that it will not collapse, rupture, or fail. The <br />owner or operator shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, <br />professional engineer, registered in California in accordance with section 66270.11(d) attesting that the <br />system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing and treating of <br />hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed to achieve the <br />requirements of this article. This assessment shall be obtained prior to placing the tank system in <br />service, and shall be kept on file at the facility. Correct immediately by obtaining the required hazardous <br />waste tank assessments per Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Submit a copy to the EHD. <br />605. The overflow used coolant tank label was illegible. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with <br />the words "Hazardous Waste" and the accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous <br />waste tanks are marked with the required information. During the inspection a new hazardous waste <br />label was completed and affixed to the overflow used coolant tank. <br />803. Three triple A batteries were found in the trash can next to the front desk. A handler shall manage <br />batteries in a way that prevents releases of any universal waste or component of a universal waste to <br />the environment. Correct immediately by managing universal waste batteries per Title 22 California <br />Code of Regulations. <br />808. Three triple A batteries were found in an unmarked trash can next to the front desk. A universal <br />waste handler shall label or mark universal waste to identify the type of universal waste. Batteries (i.e., <br />each battery), or a container in which the batteries are contained, shall be labeled or marked clearly with <br />the following phrase: "Universal Waste-Battery(ies)". Correct immediately by labeling universal waste <br />batteries per Title 22 California Code of Regulations. <br />809. Three triple A batteries were found in an unmarked trash can next to the front desk. The facility <br />lacked documentation of when these batteries became a waste. A universal waste handler shall <br />accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the universal waste was <br />generated, or was received from another universal waste handler. A universal waste handler shall be <br />able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated from the date it <br />became a waste or was received.
