WOODWARD <br /> MANTECA, CA 95336 MANTECA, CA 95356 <br /> In late 1983, the Govenor signed into law A82013 and 1362. These Bills require <br /> the inventory, inspection and permitting of all underground storage tanks that <br /> contain hazardous materials. The San Joaquin Local Health District, Division <br /> of Environmental Health was designated as the enforcement agency for the <br /> cities and unincorporated areas within San Joaquin County. State law provides <br /> for a fee system to cover the cost of implementing this state mandated <br /> p rog ram. <br /> Local fees (see attached Fee Schedule) , for these required inspectional <br /> services, will be billed on a yearly basis. The facilities Permit to Operate <br /> will be issued for a five year period. In addition to the yearly <br /> inspectional fee, this statement will also include a $56/tank State surcharge <br /> fee. The State surcharge fee per tank will be charged every five years or <br /> whenever the facilities permit is renewed or amended. All State surcharge <br /> fees will be transmitted by the Health District to the California Water <br /> Resources Control. Board. <br /> To apply for a facilities Permit to Operate, complete the attached Fee <br /> Worksheet and submit the appropriate fees. Fees are due and payable February <br /> 3, 1986. Fees received after March 6, 1986 are subject to 100% penalty. <br /> In order to answer any questions regarding this Underground Storage Tank <br /> program, the San Joaquin Local Health Distict Division of Environmental Health <br /> has scheduled -the following information workshops: <br /> 1. Thursday, January 30, 1986, 10 AM <br /> 2. Monday, February 3, 19869 2 PM <br /> 3. Tuesday, February 119 1986, 2 PM <br /> All of the above informational workshops will be conducted at •the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District Board Room, 1601 E.
