The permit has been approved with the
following conditions:
1. Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control
District for any applicable permits and requirements.
2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval
prior to commencing work. All new addenda supersede the previous ones.
3. Contact Stacy Rivera at (209) 468-3440 to arrange the following inspection
appointments (a 48-hour notice is required for inspection appointments). Please be
aware that inspections for emergency work must be scheduled within five days of permit
approval.
a. Overfill prevention verification: Measurement of drop tubes to verify 95% tank volume
shut off(if necessary).
b. Corrosion protection: Verify corrosion protection for direct bury spill bucket prior to
backfilling.
c. Spill bucket test: Verify minimum 5-gallon capacity and pass a one hour hydrostatic
test(or equivalent). Proper drainage must also be verified.
d. Secondary containment testing on diesel UST (see condition #4).
Please be aware that the facility cannot receive fuel in the diesel tank prior to the
EHD inspection and approval.
4. Since concrete will be broken near the diesel UST, a secondary containment test must
be performed on the diesel UST once concrete is poured in accordance with the
manufacturer's guidelines.
