Date : 25 March 2015 <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE : GROUNDWATER <br /> INJECTION PROJECT AT 2050 EAST FREMONT <br /> STREET, STOCKTON <br />!j The Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region <br /> (Central Valley Water Board) is considering preparing a Notice of <br /> Water Boards Applicability for coverage under General Order No. R5-2009-0149, <br /> In-Situ Groundwater Remediation at Sites with Volatile Organic <br /> Compounds, Nitrogen Compounds, Perchlorate, Pesticides, Semi- <br /> Volatile Compounds and/or Petroleum Compounds. <br /> PROJECT TITLE: <br /> Former Apache Plastics Facility, In-Situ Remediation of Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons, San Joaquin County. <br /> PROJECT LOCATION : <br /> 2050 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> A map showing the location of the Site is attached (Figure 1 ). <br /> j PROJECT DESCRIPTION : <br /> The ' Central Valley Water Board proposes to issue a Notice of <br /> Applicability to allow Bill Stoermer, of Fremont Plaza Investments, <br /> to be covered under General Order No. R5-2009-0149 for in-situ <br /> remediation of groundwater at the Former Apache Plastics Facility. <br /> CONTACTS The project consists of adding 6,400 gallons of a diluted solution of <br /> hydrogen peroxide in eight injection wells over a period of 12 <br /> weeks. This corrective action is being performed at the site to <br /> reduce petroleum fuels pollution in groundwater as result of a <br /> leaking underground storage tank, previously used at the site. <br /> Questions Following injection the groundwater will be monitored to assess the <br /> Information Contact: results of the injections. Under the Notice of Applicability and <br /> General Order, the project proponent is required to monitor the <br /> Ms . Cori Condon impacts on groundwater. The overall site cleanup project is <br /> Regional Water Board overseen by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) and a corrective action plan was submitted <br /> (916) 464=4619 to SJCEHD in June 2014. <br /> WHERE DO I GET MORE INFORMATION? <br /> The draft Notice of Intent and proposed Monitoring and <br /> Reporting Program are on file at the address above and are <br /> available for public examination at the Central Valley <br /> Regional Board , Monday through Friday between the hours of <br /> 8:00 a .m . to 4: 30 p.m. , as well as on the State Water <br /> Resources Control Board GeoTracker database at <br /> hftp://geotracker.waterboards. ca . gov/. <br /> HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? <br /> All interested agencies, groups and persons wishing to respond to <br /> the draft Notice of Intent are invited to submit written comments to <br /> 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200, Rancho Cordova, California, <br /> 95670-6114, for consideration by the Central Valley Regional Board <br /> on or before 25 April 2015.
