(AGE) is requesting approval by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) for a reduction in the sampling frequency of ground water monitoring and remediation wells at 2050 Fremont Street, Stockton, California. Attached is the proposed reduced monitoring schedule, with a brief justification for the reduction of sampling (Table 1 ). The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 . Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 . Historical analytical data is included in Table 2. The current monitoring program includes the following: • Depth to water measurements in all wells; • Sampling of twenty-three (23) monitoring and remediation wells. The proposed monitoring program would include the following: • Depth to water measurements in all wells; • Sampling of shallow screened wells MW-2, MW-6, and MW- 19, mid-screened wells MW- 16 and MW- 18, and deep wells MW-9, MW- 14, and MW-20 . • Sampling of remediation well VEW-2, in order to continually monitor the contaminant concentration in the "core" area of the plume (Figure 2). • Monitoring and sampling of the all site' s monitoring and remediation wells on an annual basis during the second quarter of each calendar year. • Future sampling schedule reductions maybe warranted, based on future analytical data. 837 Shaw Road, Stockton, California 95215 Telephone (209) 467 - 1006 Fax (209) 467 - 1118
