CES
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Re: Addendum Report, Former Apache Plastics Facility, 2050 East Fremont Street, Stockton,
California
Dear Ms . Duncan:
Stratus Environmental, Inc. (Stratus) has prepared this Addendum Report, on behalf of Beasley and
Associates, L.P. , for the former Apache Plastics facility located at 2050 East Fremont Street,
Stockton, California (see Figure 1 ). In a letter dated November 2, 2006, San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) requested that an addendum to the September 29,
2006 Well Installation and Destruction Report and Site Conceptual Model Update report (SCM)
be submitted. SJCEHD specifically requested that recommendations regarding future management
of the environmental case for the subject site be submitted.
Although not explicitly stated in the SCM, it is our opinion that the extent of subsurface impact
originating from the site is adequately characterized by the existing monitoring well network and
by the findings of the 2001 CPT investigation completed at the site. Stratus does not recommend
further site assessment work based on the data collected to date.
It is our opinion that, at this time, preparation of a Problem Assessment/ Feasibility Study Report is
appropriate for the site. This report would evaluate the feasibility of potential remedial alternatives
to address the extent of the remaining petroleum hydrocarbon impact at the site. Pending a
directive from SJCEHD, the Problem Assessment/Feasibility Study Report will be submitted on
behalf of Beasley and Associates.
Please call Jay Johnson at (530) 676-6000 if you have questions or comments.
Sincerely,
STRATUS ENVIKONMENTAL, INC.
Sit AV -
Scott G.
