I INTRODUCPION
el
This report presents the results of the subsurface investigation conducted in May and June 1990 by !
Western Geologic Resources,Inc.(WGR)at the Apache Plastics,Inc.(API)pipe extruding facility
located at 2050 East Fremont Street in Stockton,California. The purpose of this investigation was
7 to further evaluate the vertical and horizontal extent of fuel hydrocarbons beneath the API facility
and to evaluate if fuel hydrocarbons were migrating off-site in an estimated dowagradient direction.
As requested,the following scope of work was performed:
1) Drill three soil borings,B-5,B-6 and B-7;
2) Collect soil samples at approximate 5-foot intervals for lithologic and hydrogeologic
i classification and for possible chemical and/or sieve analysis;
i 3) Complete soil borings,B-5,B-6 and B-7,as 2-inch diameter monitor wo-Us MW-5,MW-6
{ and MW-7,respectively;
r 4) Analyze selected soil samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPI)as diesel and/or
i total purgeable petroleum hydrocarbons (TPPH) as gasoline, and benzene, toluene,
jethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)by EPA Methods 8015 and 8070,respectively,
r _ V
5) Develop the new welts,MW-5 through L✓1W-7,and collect liquid samples from all wells,
rg
of MW-1 through MW-7- Analyze the groundwater samples for TPPH, BTEX and
selected halocarbons by EPA Methods 8015,602 and 601,respectively. Characterize any
liquid hydrocarbon samples collected;
{
 U66RiJIAva t
i
x'
