Van Allen Road <br />Escalon, CA 95320 <br />May 30, 2017 <br />Garrett Backus <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department <br />1868 East Hazelton Ave. <br />Stockton, CA 95205-6232 <br />Regarding: Return to Compliance Certification, Bartelink Dairy <br />This letter is in response to the Notice to Comply received from your office dated May 8, 2017 as a result <br />of the inspection that occurred at the Bartelink Dairy on May 4, 2017. The following is a summary of the <br />corrective actions that have been made in regard to violations listed in the inspection report. <br />• Violation Item #5 — The Hazard Inventory was updated to include all materials on the Bartelink <br />Dairy. The correct and updated information was entered in the California Environmental <br />Reporting System (CERS). Information entered was accepted and approved in CERS. <br />• Violation Item #6 — A complete site map was completed for the Bartelink Dairy which <br />contained adjacent streets, access and exit points, evacuation and staging area, hazardous <br />material storage areas, etc. The completed site map was uploaded to CERS and was approved <br />by the Environmental Health Department (EHD). (see attached) <br />• Violation Item #9 — Bartelink Dairy updated and corrected the business plan. Updates were <br />made in CERS and approved by EHD. Bartelink Dairy will update the plan annually prior to <br />January 15 to insure information is accurate and up to date. <br />• Violation Item #15 — An Emergency Response Plan was completed and uploaded to CERS. The <br />Emergency Response Plan was approved in CERS by the EHD. The Emergency Response Plan <br />has been posted and used to train employees on the procedures to take in the event of a <br />release of a hazardous material. (see attached) <br />• Violation Item #16 — As part of the Emergency Response Plan it was verified that training <br />program is and will continue to be administered through Safety/Tailgate meetings that are part <br />of the Bartelink Dairy's Injury and Illness Prevention Program. <br />
