301 West Kettleman Lane - 2 - <br />19 May 2000 <br />No. 5-00-704 requires you to submit a complete PAR by 24 July 2000. The oxygen diffusion wells and <br />additional remedial alternatives can be presented at that time. <br />Minimum information to be supplied with regard to the oxygen diffusion wells are: <br />• The proposed screened intervals of the wells. <br />• A description of the biological populations existing in site soils, and whether these populations <br />are effective for degrading MtBE. <br />• The steps needed to check for tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) as a breakdown product from in-situ <br />biodegradation of MtBE. <br />• How the biodegradation of site constituents will be evaluated. There are no monitoring wells <br />immediately downgradient of the proposed locations of the oxygen diffusion wells. <br />Please notify Mr. Harlin Knoll at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division and me at least <br />two business days prior to any site work or sampling.
