<br />W. KETTLEMAN LANE, LODI, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CLEANUPAND ABATEMENT
<br />ORDER NO. 5-00-704 (LUST CASE # 391019)
<br />Staff at the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board) is
<br />considering closure of LUST Case No. 391019 for the unauthorized release of petroleum
<br />hydrocarbons (gasoline) at 301 W. Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California (Site). Currently monitoring
<br />well EX -1 results (160 ug/L) exceed Water Quality Goals (WQGs) for MtBE (5 ug/L, Taste and
<br />Odor). And, Well MW -5A results (2 ug/L) exceed WQGs for benzene
<br />(0.15 ug/L, OEHHA Public Health Goal). In the 13 April 2007 First Quarter 2007 Quarterly
<br />Progress Report, your consultant Arcadis U.S., Inc (Arcadis BBL) requested that, pending final
<br />closure, we allow a reduction to the monitoring of your wells to the following wells (Attached
<br />Figure 4) and analyses:
<br />1) Groundwater levels for all wells will continue to be monitored on a quarterly schedule.
<br />2) Monitoring wells EX -1 and EX -3 will continue to be sampled quarterly.
<br />3) Monitoring wells MW -5A, MW -513, MW -8S. MW -9A, and MW -913 will be sampled on annual
<br />basis (fourth quarter).
<br />4) All remaining wells will not be sampled.
<br />5) Wells MW -5A and EX -1 analyses will include: Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (gasoline range
<br />organics), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, MtBE, and Tert-Butyl Alcohol.
<br />6) Wells EX -3, MW -513, MW -8S, MVV -9A, and MW -913 analysis will include only MtBE.
