Former Chevron Station 9-5775 - 2 - 8 October 2004
301 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi
injection, using the graphed slope of the declining contaminant(s) concentrations versus time to
calculate a decay rate (time to revert to non -detect). If a contaminant(s) is produced and
persistent, provide that information in the BSS report for my review. If contaminant(s) produced
are not persistent, provide that information in the BSS report and a Workplan containing
modifications to the Pilot Study monitoring program, specifically, the frequency of analyses
needed to confirm contaminant decay rates as calculated from BSS analytical evidence. During
the Pilot Study, groundwater sampling and analyses will be conducted, at a minimum,
immediately before startup of the H2O2 injection system, and at intervals of one and 2 hours
afterwards, in order to validate all contaminant(s) analyses and proposed decay rates, if
applicable. .
Install data loggers in monitoring wells MW -3 and MW -5B to record changes in dissolved
oxygen, pH, specific conductance, and temperature during the Pilot Study. -The test data will be
helpful to determine the effectiveness of H2O2 injection.
Please procure the appropriate drilling permit and give San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department and myself at least 3 working days notice prior to commencement of fieldwork.
If you have any questions please contact me at (916) 464-4615 or bartonj(a),rb5s.swrcb.ca.gov.
AMES L.
