Assessment and remedial <br />activities will consist of the drilling and installation of twenty-three (23) remedial wells <br />(to utilize either oxygen diffusion or iso -gen technologies), one (1) groundwater <br />extraction well, and eleven (11) groundwater monitoring wells. This work plan has <br />been written in part as a response to the Notice of Violation (NOV) issued by the <br />RWQCB, dated September 22, 2000. Due to the extreme time constraint imposed by <br />the NOV, we will assume that full RWQCB approval of our proposed scope of <br />work is given if we do not receive a response from RWQCB within 5 days. A copy <br />of the NOV is included as Attachement A. <br />This work plan includes a brief discussion of site background and previous <br />investigations, site geology and hydrogeology, proposed scope of work, and schedule. <br />SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br />Site Description <br />The subject site is a former Chevron service station located at 301 West Kettleman Lane <br />in Lodi, California (Figure 1). Former facilities included four service bays, three <br />dispenser islands, one sales kiosk, three 10,000 -gallon gasoline underground storage <br />tanks (USTs), one 1,000 -gallon waste oil UST, one 550 -gallon previously abandoned <br />;. waste oil UST, and one in -ground hydraulic hoist.
