ti r Page 2 of 3 Chevron Quarterly Progress Report (4Q2000) January a 2001 Former Chevron #9-5775, (CAO #5-00-704), 301 West kettleman Lane Lodi CA QUARTERLY RESULTS SUMMARY: Current Phase of Project Remediation Frequency of Groundwater Sampling Quarterly Frequency of Groundwater Monitoring Quarterly Is Free Product (FP) Present On -Site No Current Rernediation Techniques GWE / SVE Approximate Depth to Shallow Groundwater 58 to 62 5 feet Groundwater Gradient Shallow zone variable @ 0 03 to 0 07 ft/ft Deep zone Southwest @ 0 001 to 0 002 ft/ft DISCUSSION: On October 16, 17, and 19, 2000, Gettler-Ryan conducted groundwater monitoring and sampling (fourth-quarter 2000) for the above referenced site Twenty Chevron wells were sampled during this event Three wells (MW -5A, MW -513, and MW -11B) were re -sampled on November 29 or December 8, 2000 due to possible contaminant interference in the first sampling The TPHg BTEX, and MtBE results of the second sampling for these wells are summarized here Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) was reported in four wells at concentrations ranging from 110 ppb in MW -6 to 690 ppb in MW-14/EX-2 Benzene was reported in five wells at concentrations rangmg from 0 50 ppb in MW -6 to 7 6 ppb in MW -5A Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MtBE) was reported in ten wells at concentrations ranging from 0 83 ppb in MW -9A to 160,000 ppb in EX -1 Ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ELBE) iswas reported in nine wells at concentrations ranging from 13 ppb in MW- IOB to 4,600 ppb in EX -1, and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) was detected in six wells at concentrations ranging from 4 6 ppb in MW -6 to 1,500 ppb m EX -1 Tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) was detected in three wells at concentrations ranging from 16 ppb (MW -3) to 14,000 ppb (EX -1) Minor amounts of methanol and ethanol were also detected The groundwater gradient m the shallow water bearing zone was variable at 0 03 to 0 07 ft/ft The groundwater flow direction m the deeper water-beanng zone was reported to the southwest at 0 001 to 0 002 ft/ft Historical groundwater flow has vaned from southeasterly to southwesterly LIMITATIONS: The fmdtngs presented m this letter are based on data and mthrps tations urate onlyd by the degreeimpliedybe the ttlur- Ryans report is attached The data presented in this summary Y gy ces and methods used No warranty, expressed or implied, is made by SECOR If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (916) 861-0400 Sincerely, SECOR International Inc David M Evans Staff Scientist ogHo more Project Manager
