T <br />Chevron Products Company 3 <br />Former Chevron Service Station 95775 301 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California March 30 2000 <br />respectively The highest concentrations were reported in samples from borings EX -1 and <br />VE -1 located in the area of the former USTs Groundwater samples collected from the <br />monitoring and extraction wells were reported to contain concentrations of TPHg, benzene, <br />MtBE, ETBE, and TAME up to 51,000 ug/l, 39,000 ug/l, 720,000 ug/l, 18,000 ug/l, and <br />6,000 ug/l, respectively <br />Between April 6 and June 29, 2000, interim remediation consisting of weekly pumping of <br />water from well EX -1 was conducted by G -R During weekly well pumping, approximately <br />2,635 gallons of water were removed from the site (G -R, July 2000) Concentrations of <br />MtBE in groundwater samples from well EX -1, collected on April 6 and June 29, 2000, <br />decreased from 720,000 micrograms per liter (ug/1) to 325,000 ug/1 <br />On July 3, 2000, the continuous operation of the interim soil vapor extraction (SVE) and <br />ground water extraction (GWE) remediation systems was initiated at the site <br />Between June 14 and July 7, 2000, ten groundwater monitoring wells (MW -5B, MW -8B, <br />MW- 1OA and B, MW -11A and B, MW -12A and B, MW -13, and MW-14/EX-2) were <br />installed at the site by Cascade Drilling Monitoring wells MW -5B, MW -8B, MW -10B, <br />MW -11B, and MW -12B were completed to approximately 90 feet bgs Monitoringwells <br />MW -10A, MW -11A, MW -12A, MW -13, and MW-14/EX-2 were completed to <br />approximately 65 feet bgs Concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates <br />were not reported in soil samples collected from monitoring wells MW -5B, MW -8B, MW - <br />i l0A and B, MW -11A and B, MW -12A and B, and MW -13 MtBE was reported at a <br />concentration of 0 189 mg/kg in the sample collected from 65 feet bgs in monitoring well <br />MW-14/EX-2 <br />• <br />TPHg and benzene, toluene, ethyl -benzene, and xylenes (BTEX compounds) were not <br />reported in groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW -5B, MW -8B, MW - <br />10A and B, MW -11A and B, MW -12A and Band, MW -13 Benzene was reported in <br />monitoring well MW-14/EX-2 at a concentration of 102 ug/l MtBE was reported in <br />monitoring wells MW -5B, MW- 1OB, and MW-14/EX-2 at concentrations of 160 ug/l, 5 2 <br />ug/l, and 1,100 ug/l, respectively Concentrations of ETBE were reported in monitoring <br />wells MW -5B and MW-14/EX-2 at concentrations of 14 ug/1 and 120 ug/l, respectively <br />Ethanol was detected in monitoring wells MW- IOB and MW -12B at concentrations of 1,400 <br />ug/1 and 2,000 ug/l, respectively <br />Between October 26 and November 3, 2000, one GWE well (EX -3) was drilled and installed <br />at the site by Western Strata Exploration (WESTEX) GWE well EX -3 was dnlled and <br />completed to approximately 80 feet bgs and screened from 60 to 80 feet bgs Operation of <br />the GWE well began on November 28,2000, following the completion of the aquifer test <br />Additionally, sampling of Well 12 for petroleum hydrocarbons was initiated in 1996 (San <br />Joaquin Co Public Works Department, Frank Beeler, verbal communication, July 2000) <br />I 1Chevron195775Wquifer test\Revtsed195775Aquifertestrevtsed doc <br />
